At the Center for the Future of Surgery (CFS) Tijuana, students, residents, fellows, surgeons and scientists are exposed to the most advanced surgical techniques by researching, developing, testing, and teaching procedures that have revolutionized the field of medicine.
Since opening in 2020, the CFS Tijuana has trained over 1,000 individuals-from students, residents and fellows to surgeons, nurses, and industry partners- making it one of the most comprehensive surgical simulation facilities in the region
CFS Tijuana offers surgeons of all specialties a unique chance to practice the most advanced techniques and technologies outside of a live operating room. It is in centers such as ours where the next generation of surgeons is developing hands-on dexterity and knowledge to provide patients with the best, safest operations possible. The Center is an extraordinary facility that gives surgeons — from residents to established surgeons — an opportunity to achieve their highest level of skill.
This is a collaborative effort between academic institutions and industry partners to develop life-changing technologies that will eventually reach patients. It’s paramount for industry to have a structured environment like CFS Tijuana where they can obtain the feedback and expertise of world-renowned faculty such as ours.
